Donations

Fuel sources are DANGEROUSLY LOW or are DEPLETED on the Rez. Can you HELP? on One Spirit's TwitWall

    Your Donation Is Urgently Needed

With rising fuel prices and a cold winter predicted, the Lakota Sioux Indians need your help. Donations at this time of year go primarily to the Heat Assistance Program, where it is needed the most.
In addition to the Heat Assistance Program, donations to ONE Spirit also support Food Share America, a food co-op progam that helps provide food to supplement the diets of Lakota Indians. Many Lakota in South Dakota are at risk of disease due in part to a nutritionally deficient diet lacking in both quantity and quality of food.
One of the largest at-risk groups among Lakota Indians are the young people. Suicides among teenagers on reservations is more than five times the national average. In our community are many young people who are very talented in traditional cultural arts and who have visions, dreams, and hopes for a better future. Donations to One Spirit support the My Buffalo Land's Children Program, which works with the Lakota youth to help keep their hopes and dreams alive.
Your donation can go along way towards helping the Lakota Indians, both young and old. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY TODAY.
